The Pleiades, or "Seven Sisters" is not actually a constellation but rather the brightest open star cluster in the night sky, located within the constellation Taurus. The Greeks considered the Pleiades to be seven sisters who had been immortalized in the stars, and nearly every ancient culture has their own mythology surrounding this brilliant sky object. This 1" diameter solid black onyx stone pendant is engraved with the stars in the Pleiades, as well as neighboring stars down to magnitude 8. It is hung from an 18” stainless steel chain.
