Pyramidal Neuron Necklace

Pyramidal cells are a type of neuron found in the cerebral cortex, the hippocampus, and the amygdala. Because pyramidal cells exhibit neuroplasticity (the ability of a neuron to change its function), they are critically involved in cognition, learning, and memory.

Sophisticated, striking, and classy, this copper pendant captures many structural elements of pyramidal neurons. If you look carefully, you will see the single axon, a large apical dendrite, multiple basal dendrites, and the presence of dendritic spines.

Each pendant is made from hand-worked, kiln-fired copper which is then hand-polished and finished with a lovely patina. It measures 7/8 x 1 1/4 inches and comes on an 18-inch copper chain.

Perfect for:

  • Neuroscientists
  • Doctors, nurses
  • Teachers, learners
  • Deep thinkers of all kinds
